The Cruise vacation you have been planning for a year is now a reality. You’ve packed your bags with the appropriate clothes for cruise travel. You have filled out all of the cruise documentation, do this at home, don’t wait to get to your cruise ship, and now you are ready for this highly anticipated cruise. There are a few cruises tips about embarkation day that you should know before you head for your cruise vacation.

Keep all of your documents with you, that includes tickets for the cruise, any vouchers, passport and any immigration forms that the cruise line has sent you. That includes bus vouchers from the cruise line that will deliver you to the ship from the airport. In is wise to pack a change of clothes in your carry on in case your baggage gets delayed. If you have purchased the vouchers from the cruise line, a cruise line representative will meet you at baggage claim and take you to the bus or van that will transport you to your cruise ship.

If you decided to handle the transfer on your own, check ahead of time to find out how much a taxi will cost from the airport to the pier. It is good to know how long it will take to make the transfer so you have timed your flights accordingly. Make sure you have attached your cruise line tags with ship name, cruising date, and stateroom number. When you arrive at the pier a porter will relieve of your bags. He will expect to be tipped. The going fare is one dollar per bag.

Cruise tips are always helpful so pay attention to this one. Let the cruise line make your airline reservations. The reason for this is that if your flight is delayed the cruise line will handle it. If there are several other passengers on the same flight the cruise line will delay the departure of the ship. When you get to your cruise ship, embarkation could be a little chaotic. There will be lines, especially early in the check in process. There will be a lot of stressed out people so just relax and take it in stride. After you have gone through the check in process you will be aboard and your cruise vacations begins. Here is where it pays to have all of your documentation completely filled out. Many of the cruise lines have loyalty programs so if you are a repeat cruiser many times they have preferred check in areas. Many of the cruise lines will have preferred check in for cruisers who have booked suites or mini suites. Check this out with your cruise travel agent.

This is a little off topic but it’s one of the best cruise tips you will hear. Use a cruise travel agent for all of your cruise travel. Check and see if they are CLIA certified cruise lines organization. Be careful they don’t push you onto cruise ships where they have preferred status which means they get a higher commission. Scour the internet for cruise reviews on cruise travel to back up what your travel agent is telling you.

Now back to the pier. While you are checking in you will have to give the cruise line a credit card for any on board charges. Most times your room card is also your credit card and identification for getting on and off at ports while on the cruise ship. If you can get on the ship early in the process you get two benefits. One you get to have lunch and two you get the first shot at spa and beauty appointments. It will also give you time to peruse your cruise ship and then head for the pool. Having been a savvy cruise traveler you knew to bag a bathing suit into your carry on luggage.

Just before you get to the gangway you will be stopped by the ships photographer and a picture will be taken to commemorate your cruise vacation. It will be on display in the ships photo gallery but you are under no obligation to purchase it. Check in procedures will be different from ship to ship even within the same cruise lines. It depends on the experience of the staff and the cooperation of the passengers. Remember that these folks that are checking you in have been working since seven o’clock in the morning off loading the people from last weeks cruise vacation. Then they turn around and start putting on a whole new set of passengers for the next cruise.

Dinner in the main restaurant has plenty of choices and good quality of food, and it looked good on the plate which is important. The Vietnamese and Thai specialties are particularly good.

If you want to go to Hoi Nam, where there a number of very good restaurants. there is free transport, but taxis are pretty cheap anyway.

Nam Hai hotel is quite unique and close enough to the culture of Vietnam, that if you get bored of your honeymoon resort you can soon immerse yourself in the culture.

Finally everyone on the staff of the Nam Hai hotel are very anxious to please, always polite, enthusiastic, especially to practise their English.

Nam Hai is a romantic luxury hotel, very suitable for a honeymoon vacation, and a great base for exploring the culture of Vietnam.

Aruba is an amazing place to vacation. But when I looked at hotels in Aruba, I wanted something special.  If you’ve been to the Caribbean before, you pretty much know what to expect; cookie-cutter hotels complete with Starbucks and gift shops full of t-shirts and coffee mugs. But, if you’re looking for a great vacation in Aruba that’s not your typical tourist scene, you won’t be disappointed with Club Arias.

Not your usual high-story hotel, Club Arias is a series of private villas located in the suburbs of Aruba. There are many hotels in Aruba, but this does not feel like a commercial hotel. When we first planned to travel to Aruba, we saw many hotels, and read many reviews.

The intimate feel of Club Arias makes it the perfect place that is off the beaten path. They have have shuttles to take you into town or to the beach, or hop on a quad and drive there yourself. Whether you go for conferences, reunions, families or couples, it feels wonderful from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. 

My husband and I went there on our honeymoon and have been back every year since. We’ve gone alone, with our two kids, and even took an extended-family trip with grandparents, cousins, etc. It’s almost like having your own, private vacation home in the heart of the Caribbean.

There are two huge pools, one olympic-type and another with a massive wading area (great for kids) with built-in lounge chairs, a wet bar and waterfall. The two to three room villas are equipped with a mini kitchen (complete with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker) and a big, flat screen TV. Watch a movie via satellite or pop your own into the DVD player. Of course, you can always hire one of the available babysitters and go for a night out on the town. That is a great part of our vacations in Aruba.

Azucar is near the small community of Monte Gordo, Veracruz, on Mexico’s Costa Esmeralda, bordering the Gulf of Mexico. As a choice for your luxury Mexico vacation, or Mexico Honeymoon, you would be pressed to choose a better destination than this intimate white walled and somewhat minimalistic hotel.

It is quite a long way from Veracruz airport to Azucar, but your vehicle will be airconditioned, and you’ll find the unspoiled Mexican towns and scenery fascinating over the two and a half hour trip.

When you arrive you’ll think Azucar is Paradise found, especially if you can book a villa right on top of the sea, with it’s spacious all white room, and a hammock you can lie and enjoy a cool beer, whilst listening to the sounds of the waves crashing onto the shore.

Nowhere is far from the accommodation, so the aromas of the food will tempt you, and you won’t be disappointed by the quality or quantity.

If you are like most people, then a vacation, whether it is a Mexican Vacation Special, and you are on a Mexico honeymoon vacation, or a luxury Mexico vacation, there are certain pleasures you expect. Great food, fantastic accommodation and ambience, unobtrusive, and very efficient and friendly staff, and peace and tranquillity where there aren’t too many other people that you are aware of. In addition great weather!!

It is best to go in March where the Mexico weather in the Gulf of Mexico is warm and sunny, somewhat humid with early morning cloud. There will be a cooling breeze, and importantly few biting insects!!

A deserted beach is a great attraction, although the waves restrict swimming, you will find it clean.

The Azucar has twenty villas, all almost identical scattered across the small property. They have thatched roof terraces, hammocks, and large pillows. This is a hideaway hotel in the middle of nowhere and absolutely perfect for a Mexico Honeymoon Vacation or any Mexico Travel holiday package if you love quality and solitude..

There is an upper and a lower terrace, and the extra touches such as flat screen TV, and toiletries are what you would expect on any luxury mexico vacation.

There is a small but lovely pool, and again large pillows to lounge about on, and certainly warm enough to swim.

The food at Azucar is superb, simple, beautifully cooked , relatively inexpensive, and open from breakfast through to dinner. If you want food in your room, then that is no problem at all.

There is a Spa on a neighbouring property owned by the management of the Azucar. High quality, and not expensive..

The staff are very helpful and pleasant, so all in all the Azucar fulfils most of the requirements for a top class luxury Mexico holiday package.
